Odisha government is developing mining blocks through online auction. In October 2019, the state government has invited bids for its third auction notice in the last 15 days. The blocks include seven iron ore, one each iron ore and manganese and manganese block. As per the notification, Purheibahal, Chandiposhi, Rengalaberha North-East, Gandhalpada, Netrabandha Pahar (West), Dholtapahar and Jumka Pathriposhi are the iron ore blocks put on auction while Kalimati is the manganese block.
Similarly, Unchabali iron ore and manganese block would also be auctioned. Interested bidders can purchase the tender documents till November 29. The last date for submission of the bid is December 4. Except the manganese block, tender fee for the remaining eight blocks is Rs 5 lakh each. Tender fee for the Kalimati manganese block is Rs 2 lakh.
