Odisha government is finally set to implement the Bhubaneshwar Metro Rail Project. The project is to be implemented by Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Corporation, which has signed an MoU with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for turnkey consultancy. The metro rail network will have 20 stations and will connect Cuttack, Bhubaneshwar Airport and to Trishulia. It will cover a distance of 26 kms. There are also plans to extend the metro network to Khurda, Puri and to Cuttack.
