Paradeep Phosphates Ltd is planning to expand its production of its phosphoric acid plant in Paradeep in Odisha. The project involves expanding phosphoric acid production capacity from 1,000 tpd to 1,400 tpd. It will also install a evaporator to increase annual production of strong phosphoric acid. The company has awarded the EPC contract to Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions. It may be noted that, the plant was set up with is based on the di-hydrate technology from Prayon Technologies of Belgium.
As of November 2019, the project is in implementation and is likely to be completed by 2022.
